The UCC Europa Society will welcome 3 great speakers to discuss what your vote in May means and will answer all of your questions regarding voting!
Dr Emmanuelle Schon Quinlivan - Director of BSC Government, Jean Monnet Lecturer and European politics lecturer. Emmanuelle will be on board to tell you about how the EU impacts Irish daily life and the institutional consequences of your vote. Emmanuelle also works on BFGtoEU (Big Friendly Guide to the EU) aimed at young people. Emmanuelle will happily simplify anything that seems complex!
Dr Theresa Reidy - Political scientist and lecturer in department of government UCC. Theresa has done immense research in the areas of electoral behavior and political instituons. Theresa has also worked on youth engagement in relation to politics. Theresa will speak about electoral aspects of your vote.
Charlotte Denis - This Time I'm Voting. thistimeimvoting.eu is the European Parliament's institutional, non-partisan communication action, independent from any political party and ideology. The communication action's objective is to promote democratic engagement in the European elections. Charlotte will be speaking on the work being done regarding promoting the elections and will tell you why it’s important to vote!
